The Dark Knight

Well, I didn't think this would be a great film, but Bobby recommended (and I use the word in the same context as "insisted") that I go see this one.... This is about Batman fighting the Joker. That's it. I've seen that before (Batman Begins?). There was a new character introduced - TwoFace - but it was basically Batman and the Joker. I wasn't impressed. Are script writers so lazy now that they have to re-write something that isn't even old? Anyway...the story flows smoothly enough and the plot keeps you mostly interested until the end. Heath Ledger was awesome - better than Jack even. I didn't rate the new Batman - his voice was apalling. I actually felt embarrassed for him whilst watching the film! In fact, only Heath Legder stood out on this - Batmans' woman wasn't a good actress, TwoFace was mediocre, however, Commissioner Gordan was played well. I wasn't impressed. Don't get me wrong, this was a good film, but it was way over-hyped. I especially thought the ending was poor (to the point that it ruined the film for me - was just lazy writing). My advice, watch the DVD and save some cash. Unfortunately, yet another Bobby K "this is the best film in the multiverse ever" prediction that falls way short...
